The hotel is perfectly placed for national and international travellers visiting the city. The Carlton George boasts Glasgow's only rooftop restaurant: the fabulous Windows, where views of the city's skyline provide a stunning backdrop to your dining experience.
Within minutes of the hotel are the City Chambers and Gallery of Modern Art, and just a short underground train ride away is the famous West End which is home to Glasgow University, boutique shops, the Botanic Gardens and much more. The train station is only 3 minutes’ walk from the hotel.

Using only the finest Scottish produce, the head chef and his team create an array of exciting and delectable dishes all presented with an excellent level of service. The menu varies every 4 weeks for lunch, pre-theatre and dinner.
By Car
From Edinburgh (East):
- Approach Glasgow on the M8 motorway, exiting at junction 15 (Glasgow Cathedral).
- Follow signs for George Square and follow the one-way system to West George Street.
From Glasgow Airport (South):
- Approach Glasgow city centre on the M8 motorway, exiting at junction 18 which leads onto Bothwell Street.
- Take the 4th left onto West Campbell Street, then the 2nd right onto West George Street.
- Follow West George Street down the hill and round the church at the bottom.
- The hotel is just after the church on the left-hand side of the road.
Parking is available at Buchanan Galleries Monday to Saturday from 08:00 - 23:30 and on Sunday from 09.00 - 23.30. Parking is also available at Queen Street station 24 hours a day.
